I'm here to apply for the position of House-Dog!

Oh, Hello! It's so nice to see you again. How have you been?

I've been very well, thank you so much for asking!

Life here at the House of Pinky is very nice.
I have been learning so much about what Miss Pinky and Mrs. Lady call "the finer points of being an exemplary House-Dog."

A big part of that is calmly hanging out by myself with a chew toy or just snoozing in a sunny spot.

Another important part of being a "House-Dog" is playing gently or just hanging with the family and enjoying "snuggle-time." Mrs. Lady says I am an excellent snuggler!

It is also important to be gentle and patient while playing with "Tiny-Human."
Sharing toys with him is no problem for me and I like it when he shares his treats with me too!
I think being a "House-Dog" sounds like a very important job and also like a lot of fun! Pinky says it's definitely the best job she's ever had!
I sure hope that soon I will have the sought-after position of "House-Dog" with some humans of my own.

Sunny days...

Hi Everyone! How are you today? I
sure hope you're well!

At my new foster home, which I also like to call "the House of Pinky," we like to practice our manners each and every day.

It's like Miss Pinky always says, "practice makes perfect." Oh, and also Mrs. Lady told me that good manners in a canine companion are very important to humans.

So, here I am "sitting" and "looking" at Mrs. Lady.....

And here I am gently taking my treat! Yum Yum Yum!

This move here was actually much harder to pull off than it looks, mainly because the whole time I was "sitting" and "looking", Tiny-Human was mowing the lawn with his mower that makes "Bub-bul-les" allllllllllllll around me.

Mrs. Lady said I got bonus points for my "patience" isn't that the best?

Well, we also like to have a bit of fun around here, like lying in the sun and rolling in the grass. I think that feels so nice, don't you agree?

Oh, I think I hear Mrs. Lady saying it's time to come in.... It was nice talking with you! Have a nice day.

Foster Dog

Hello, I am writing to you from the
home of my new foster family.
They look kind of silly I know, but they really are very nice. After all, they are sharing their home with me!

They are: Mrs. Lady, Mr. Man, Pinky Deluxe and Tiny-Human (or "Ace"). We have been having quite a time here together and I am really enjoying the chance to live in a real house and play in a real yard.

It makes me really excited to think that maybe someday I will have my own people who will love me as much as these people love Pinky.

Here's me and Miss Pinky playing with Tiny-Human.

Sensitive Yet Spirited...

Well, hello! My name is Arnie. It's awfully nice to meet you.

Please allow me to tell you a little bit about myself...
I was just an out-of-luck pit bull waiting for a miracle in the Martinez Animal Shelter when Nice Lady found me. I was confused and I kept trying to tell the nice people that really I did not belong there!

In fact, I once had a family. They taught me to sit, lie down, and to wait patiently while the humans eat. Why that all ended, I really couldn't say, but what I do know is that I am a loyal and sweet guy who wants to find the right people to call my own. Nice Lady was so impressed with my manners that she gave me a big smile and told me that finding people to give me a forever home won't be too hard. That made me feel much better.

Some of my interests include: walks in the park, a rousing game of fetch, bully-stick chews, a nap by the sofa, and especially a good snuggle with my very own human.
